DAVID JIMENEZ GONZALEZ

David has 20 years of professional practice working as an architect. During the first 15 years of his career, he practiced architecture in Colombia where he is  a licensed architect. He moved to the United States in 2015 and he started his process of becoming a licensed architect in Washington DC. David’s architectural style is the product of his wide expertise in a different array of projects including Custom homes, multifamily, education, healthcare, transportation, commercial and office architecture.

David studied at the Universidad Piloto de Colombia and received his bachelor of architecture in 2000. That year he moved to the United States where he published 20 articles about the history of architecture in the Latin American Times Newspaper. When he returned to Colombia he worked for independent architect Carlos Verdugo, then worked as an interior architect in the renowned Interior design and P.O.P firm INNERCIA SA. One of the projects he was part of, received the “Lapiz de Acero” award, one of the most important Design Awards in Colombia in the P.O.P category with the project Bellota Stand. Then he joined Morphosis Arquitectura & Diseño, a Colombian company, where he worked as a project manager until 2008.

Since 2008 David has worked as an independent architect  creating a very wide international portfolio under his name, including projects in different cities of Colombia, Guatemala, Mexico City, Panama city and The United States.

David enjoys spending his free time with his wife Patricia and his son Alejandro, also he loves playing and writing music.
